Welcome The N. Billerica facility was acquired in 1955 from the Boston and Maine Railroad. It was at this time that the Geo. McQuesten Company moved from the docks of East Boston where it had been since 1855. It was there that schooners were hand unloaded and timbers were dragged by horses. Our sales staff boasts over 200 years of combined industry experience. Our facility covers 22 acres with over 35,000 sq.ft. of covered storage area. We have a timber sizer and planer used for custom milling and we are located on a rail siding. We inventory approximately $4.5 million in material at this location with over $10 million companywide. McQuesten‘s business has been built through long lasting customer relationships with the independent local retail lumberyards who we continue to service today. In 1998 we were purchased by Hood Industries and are currently doing business as Hood Distribution-McQuesten Group. Our longstanding reputation for integrity and goodwill built throughout the century continues to be our utmost goal.
